The Venus Beach Shop at Blackpool Sands nestles under an ancient tree almost on the beach. Offering you a relaxed friendly environment where you can pick up the postcard to send home; the swimmers, suncream, bucket & spade you left behind or the local bottle of wine produced just up the river. We like to showcase some locally produced food & drink for you to experience the wealth of amazing producers available within the South Hams. You can also hire the deck chair or windbreak to chill out with your book. Looking for more activity? You can hire boards or wetsuits or take a lesson on the beach with Lushwind or Discovery Surf School. Venus aims to provide an environmentally sensitive and ethically sound range of products. We also want to help you have a fun filled great day on the beach. We will do our utmost to bring you goods which we have researched. At the very least they will be as close as possible/ available to achieving our own mission to be the greenest beach cafe & shop operator.
