Venus Opens South Hams Food & Drink Shop
UNIQUE SOUTH HAMS FOOD & DRINK SHOP OPENING AT BLACKPOOL SANDS
A truly unique store selling products only from South Hams producers opens on Friday, 4th November at Blackpool Sands, near Dartmouth. The South Hams Food and Drink Shop only stocks produce from producers based in the South Hams. The shop gives customers keen to buy local and organic products an excellent range of quality food and drink all for sale under one roof.
From November, shoppers can sample and buy from a tantalising selection, to include wine, apple juice and cider to cheese, milk, ice cream, meats, smoked fish, shellfish and more. The first of its kind and the brain child of the South Hams Food and Drink Association, the new shop (located next to the Venus Café), will sell food and drink from thirty one different local suppliers, including a special range of Christmas Hampers.
“This is a fabulous showcase of the products available within the Association,” said Jonty White, Director of the South Hams Food and Drink Association. “For the very first time there will be a shop dedicated to South Hams producers. We are sure that the quality and range of product on offer will stun everyone. Different producers will be on site offering tasting sessions on a regular basis throughout the winter.”
