Announced this week, is the news that the environmentally friendly, Venus Café at Tolcarne Beach in Newquay is one of only 3 Tea Room/Cafés in Cornwall to win a coveted 2006 Taste of the West Food and Drink Award in the hospitality and retail class. Venus in Cornwall has won a Silver Award.

“Upmarket beach café in an unbelievable setting” was the judging verdict on The Venus Café at Tolcarne with high marks awarded in quality and freshness of ingredients, presentation and flavour of the meal, menu interest, speed of service, value for money and commitment to local sourcing through menu specification and a Venus menu on site naming local producers.
